Review learning regularly before moving on to new content

So that teachers check pupils have learnt the intended knowledge or skill before moving on in the curriculum, through carefully and intentionally selected assessment methods.

When used successfully pupils develop secure, subject specific knowledge and understanding over time and teachers have an accurate understanding of progress for each pupil.
